🏡 The cabin is spacious, welcoming and completely renovated to a high standard — an ideal choice for families and groups of friends who want to enjoy mountain experiences in all seasons. This cottage has in a short time managed to become a real guest favorite, thanks to its combination of comfort, location and atmosphere. With its 150 m² spread over five bedrooms, a large living room, a spacious kitchen and two separate toilets, the cottage offers comfort for up to 11 guests. 🌬️ The location is peaceful and secluded, with stunning views over towards Kikat. It is located only 900 meters from the hill in Havsdalen, and in good snow conditions you can ski all the way down to the hut. A ski bus stops at Bardøla Hotell, just 1 km away.

🛫 For guests arriving by plane, we recommend Oslo Airport as the arrival airport. From here it is possible to rent a car and drive to Geilo (about 3.5 hours drive). In winter, it is recommended to rent a 4x4 vehicle due to demanding driving conditions in the mountains.

🌿 Summer and Autumn:

- Geilo Summer Park with zipline, climbing park, chairlift and pump track
- Trail biking in the mountains — adapted to all levels
- Bike rental in Geilo city center and Haugastøl for trips on Rallarvegen
- Rallarvegen from Haugastøl to Flåm — a spectacular bike ride through the mountain to the fjord. The train runs daily and easily takes you back to Haugastøl after the trip.
- Fishing on Hardangervidda and Ustedalsfjorden (fishing license required)
- Day trip to Langedrag Family park with animals, nature and activities
- Rafting, river boarding, canyoning and go-karting in Dagali (30 min drive)

Here you get not only quality equipment for both winter and summer use, but also personal guidance from local staff with deep knowledge of mountains, skis, bicycles and clothing. These are perfect places to get help whether you are buying new, renting equipment or just getting good advice before a trip.

🧼 The cabin is rented out by Hallingdal Rental HUB, part of Global Rental HUB. Bed linen and towels are included and it is important that you enter the correct number of people in your booking so that everything is ready for arrival.

Family-friendly cabin with fantastic location in Vestlia

Large, modern and family-friendly cabin of 180 m² over two floors – perfect for families and groups of friends who want to live spaciously and comfortably in Vestlia. The cabin is located quietly, surrounded by forest, with a short distance to Geilo town centre, alpine slopes, cross-country skiing and hiking trails.

2nd floor: 5 bedrooms and extra TV lounge (sofa bed/extra sleeping space).

Fully equipped Bosch kitchen with ceramic hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, coffee maker, hand blender/mixer, pots/pans, oven dish, bowls, wine glasses and complete tableware.
Washing machine and tumble dryer connected to guest bathroom.

Comfort & Entertainment
Two TV zones (downstairs/upstairs), Smart TV, Chromecast and Netflix. Board games and books available. Blinds in living room, reading lamps and power outlets by beds. Terrace with outdoor furniture. Fire pit (wood can be ordered).

Parking: Private courtyard right outside the entrance door (2-3 cars). Snow-cleared; around own car cleared by guest if needed.

Heating & water

Heating: Electric floor heating, panel heaters and fireplace/wood stove can be used (firewood in the cabin / can be purchased).

About the area - Geilo all year round
Geilo is the mountain village that has it all: a compact centre with shops, bakeries and restaurants; alpine skiing in multiple areas, 220 km of cross-country skiing, beautiful mountain tours and family activities. In summer/autumn: hikes on Hardangervidda/Hallingskarvet, rafts and trails in Vestlia/Geilo Summer Park, fishing and beaches. Dagali (25 min) offers rafting, zipline and motorsports; Langedrag (approx. 1 hour) for magical animal encounters.
