The cabin is conveniently located a short distance from the Hurtigruten pier in Stamsund, within walking distance to a grocery store and a café. It's also just a short drive away from the popular beaches of Haukland, Uttakleiv, and Unstad.

Welcome to Skjæret, a truly special place in the heart of Lofoten.
The rorbu you are looking at is more than just a place to stay. It is part of a regional and nationally significant cultural heritage environment, with its origins believed to date back to before 1850. The building carries a unique history and atmosphere that makes a stay here something quite different from an ordinary holiday.
In the autumn of 2016, we carefully renovated the interior, with a strong focus on preserving the original character and traditional style of the rorbu while creating a comfortable and welcoming space for our guests. The result is a spacious and well-equipped rorbu where historic charm meets modern comfort.
The rorbu is located right at the tip of Skjæret, offering wonderful views towards the entrance to the harbour and the surrounding waters. From here, you can experience the ever-changing scenery of Lofoten right outside your window.
You are also within easy reach of everything Lofoten has to offer, from dramatic mountains and beautiful beaches to charming fishing villages and unforgettable outdoor experiences.
Stamsund is also a port of call for the Hurtigruten coastal express. From the rorbu, you can watch this iconic part of Norway's coastal life pass by twice a day while enjoying your morning coffee and the view from the kitchen window.
As soon as you arrive at Skjæret, it is easy to switch into holiday mode. The peaceful surroundings, beautiful views and authentic atmosphere invite you to slow down, breathe, and simply enjoy your time in Lofoten.
